Short Curriculum Vitae

Francesco P. Mezzapesa took the master degree in Physics at the University of Bari, where he is currently research associate. In 2007 he was awarded the degree of PhD at the Optoelectronics Research Centre of the University of Southampton (UK), where his main research domains were integrated optics and nonlinear photonic microstructures. From 2006 to 2008 he worked as industrial project manager, mainly on the development of innovative sensing solutions for applications in optomechatronics. Before joining the Institute for Photonics and Nanotechnology of the CNR in April 2010, he had a PostDoc position in the Soft Matter Nanotechnology group at the CNR-Nano in Lecce, where he carried out activities of research including synthesis and characterization of nanocomposites materials and nanoimprinted optically active devices.
